Many prominent historical figures have roots on Indiana Ave including Madam C.J. Walker. She was an american entrepreneur known for being the first ever female self-made millionaire. Jazz greats Freddie Hubbard, Jimmy Coe Noble Sissle, Erroll “Groundhog” Grandy and Wes Montgomery also have ties to the area.
Residents enjoy the close proximity to the Canal and White River while having the Cultural Trail run by Ransom Place. The Madam Walker Theatre also resides on Indiana Ave which hosts public events throughout the year.
Housing consists of single family houses, town homes and condos. Pricing ranges vary offering affordable prices to more expensive higher end homes.
